Grading System
At Golden Child Academy, we have a custom grading system for our terminal reports from Kindergarten to JHS
However, during our mock examination for JHS students, we use WAEC Grading Scale to assess the strength of our students
Our report cards are populated with position scores and aggregate scores. In as much as many Guardians uses the position ranks to assess their wards, we strongly advise that they use the Aggregate scores
| Score Point | Grade | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| 80 - 100 | 1 | Excellent |
| 75 - 79 | 2 | Very Good |
| 70 - 74 | 3 | Good |
| 65 - 69 | 4 | Strong Credit |
| 60 - 64 | 5 | Average Credit |
| 55 - 59 | 6 | Weak Credit |
| 50 - 54 | 7 | Strong Pass |
| 40 - 50 | 8 | Weak Pass |
| Below 40 | 9 | Fail |
How to calculate aggregate score
To determine the aggregate score for your ward, add the weighted scores of the subjects marked with asteriks(*) on the report card. These are the FOUR CORE SUBJECTS. Then you add two weighted scores of any other TWO best subjects
